तस्य चिन्तयतस्त्वङ्गाद् दक्षिणाच्छ्वेतकुण्डलः । प्रादुर्बभूव पुरुषः श्वेतमाल्यानुलेपनः ॥ ३२.३ ॥

इत्युक्तः समवस्थोऽसौ चतुःपद्भ्यां कृते युगे । त्रेतायां स समस्तृभ्यां द्वे चैव द्वापरेऽभवत् । कलावेकेन पादेन प्रजाः पालयते प्रभुः ॥ ३२.५ ॥

षड्भेदो ब्राह्मणानां स त्रिधा क्षत्रे व्यवस्थितः । द्विधा वैश्येकधा शूद्रे स्थितः सर्वगतः प्रभुः । रसातलेषु सर्वेषु द्वीपवर्षे स्वयं प्रभुः ॥ ३२.६ ॥

द्रव्यगुणक्रियाजातिचतुःपादः प्रकीर्तितः । संहितापदक्रमश्चैव त्रिशृङ्गोऽसौ स्मृतो बुधैः ॥ ३२.७ ॥

దేవతలు వెళ్లిపోయిన తరువాత, ధర్మం నుండి తప్పిపోయిన అసురుల భార్యలు వారి నివాసాలను స్వాధీనం చేసుకోవాలని తిరుగాడారు; అసురులు కూడా అలాగే దేవగృహంలో సంచరించారు।

निर्मर्यादे तथा जाते धर्मनाशे च पार्थिव । देवासुरा युयुधिरे सोमदोषेण कोपिताः । स्त्रीहेतोश्च महाभाग विविधायुधपाणयः ॥ ३२.१२ ॥

ब्रह्मा उवाच । अयं मे प्रथमः पुत्रः पीडितः शशिना भृशम् । पत्नीं जिघृक्षता भ्रातुर्धर्मसंज्ञो महामुनिः ॥ ३२.१७ ॥

బ్రహ్మా పలికెను—ఇతడు నా మొదటి కుమారుడు, ‘ధర్మ’ అనే మహాముని. సోదరుని భార్యను అపహరించదలచిన శశి (చంద్రుడు) వలన ఇతడు తీవ్రంగా పీడింపబడ్డాడు।

इदानीं तोषयध्वं वै सर्व एव सुरासुराः । येन स्थितिर्वो भवति समं देवासुरा इति ॥ ३२.१८ ॥

ఇప్పుడు మీరందరూ—దేవులు, అసురులు—సంతృప్తి కలిగించండి; దానివల్ల మీ స్థితి స్థిరమగును, దేవాసురులందరికీ సమానంగా।

ततः सर्वे स्तुतिं चक्रुस्तस्य देवस्य हर्षिताः । विदित्वा ब्रह्मणो वाक्यात् सम्पूर्णशशिसन्निभम् ॥ ३२.१९ ॥

देवा ऊचुः । नमोऽस्तु शशिसङ्काश नमस्ते जगतः पते । नमोऽस्तु देवरूपाय स्वर्गमार्गप्रदर्शक । कर्ममार्गस्वरूपाय सर्वगाय नमो नमः ॥ ३२.२० ॥

त्वयैयं पाल्यते पृथ्वी त्रैलोक्यं च त्वयैव हि । जनस्तपस्तथा सत्यं त्वया सर्वं तु पाल्यते ॥ ३२.२१ ॥

నీ చేతనే ఈ భూమి పోషింపబడుతోంది; నిజంగా నీ చేతనే త్రిలోకమూ. ప్రజలు, తపస్సు, అలాగే సత్యం—ఇవన్నీ నీ చేతనే పరిరక్షింపబడుతున్నాయి.

न त्वया रहितं किञ्चिज्जगत्स्थावरजङ्गमम् । विद्यते त्वद्विहीनं तु सद्यो नश्यति वै जगत् ॥ ३२.२२ ॥

ఈ జగత్తులో స్థావరమో జంగమమో—నీ లేకుండా ఏదీ లేదు. నీవు లేనిచో ఈ లోకం తక్షణమే నశిస్తుంది.

त्वमात्मा सर्वभूतानां सतां सत्त्वस्वरूपवान् । राजसानां रजस्त्वं च तामसानां तम एव च ॥ ३२.२३ ॥

నీవు సమస్త భూతాల ఆత్మవు; సత్పురుషులలో నీవు సత్త్వస్వరూపుడవు. రాజస స్వభావులలో నీవే రజస్సు, తామస స్వభావులలో నీవే తమస్సు.

चतुष्पादो भवान् देव चतुःशृङ्गस्त्रिलोचनः । सप्तहस्तस्त्रिबन्धश्च वृषरूप नमोऽस्तु ते ॥ ३२.२४ ॥

హే దేవా! నీవు చతుష్పాదుడవు, చతుశ్శృంగుడవు, త్రిలోచనుడవు. నీవు సప్తహస్తుడవు, త్రిబంధయుక్తుడవు; హే వృషరూపా! నీకు నమస్కారం.

Verse 24

त्वया हीना वयं देव सर्व उन्मार्गवर्त्तिनः । तन्मार्गं यच्छ मूढानां त्वं हि नः परमा गतिः ॥ ३२.२५ ॥

హే దేవా! నీవు లేనప్పుడు మేమందరం కుమార్గంలో నడుస్తాము. మోహగ్రస్తులమైన మాకు సన్మార్గాన్ని ప్రసాదించు; నీవే మా పరమ గతి, శరణు.

Verse 25

एवं स्तुतस्तदा देवैर्वृषरूपी प्रजापतिः । तुष्टः प्रसन्नमनसा शान्तचक्षुरपश्यत ॥ ३२.२६ ॥

ఆ విధంగా దేవతలచే స్తుతింపబడినప్పుడు వృషభరూపం ధరించిన ప్రజాపతి తృప్తుడై, ప్రసన్నమనస్సుతో శాంత దృష్టితో చూచెను.

दृष्टमात्रास्तु ते देवाः स्वयं धर्मेण चक्षुषा । क्षणेन गतसंमोहाः सम्यक्सद्धर्मसंहिताः ॥ ३२.२७ ॥

హే ప్రభో! ధర్మస్వరూపుడవైన నీవు ఈ అరణ్యాన్ని చిరకాలంగా వ్యాపించి ఉన్నావు; అందువల్ల ఇది ‘ధర్మారణ్యము’ అనే నామంతో ప్రసిద్ధి పొందును, ప్రభో।

Verse 30

चतुष्ट्रिपाद् द्व्येकपाच्च प्रभो त्वं कृतादिभिर्लक्ष्यसे येन लोकैः । तथा तथा कर्मभूमौ नभश्च प्रायोयुक्तः स्वगृहं पाहि विश्वम् ॥ ३२.३१ ॥

హే ప్రభో! కృతాది యుగాల ద్వారా లోకాలు నిన్ను వరుసగా నాలుగు, మూడు, రెండు, ఒక ‘పాద’ములతో వ్యక్తమయ్యే వాడిగా గుర్తిస్తాయి. అలాగే కర్మభూమిలోను ఆకాశంలోను దాదాపు నిరంతరం నిమగ్నుడై, స్వగృహంలా ఈ విశ్వాన్ని రక్షించుము।

इत्युक्तमात्रः प्रपितामहोऽधुना सुरासुराणामथ पश्यतां नृप । अदृश्यतामगमत् स्वालयांश्च जग्मुः सुराः सवृषा वीतशोकाः ॥ ३२.३२ ॥

హే నృపా! ప్రపితామహుడు ఇలా పలికిన వెంటనే దేవాసురులు చూస్తుండగానే ఆయన అదృశ్యుడయ్యాడు. ఆపై దేవతలు వృషతో కూడి, శోకరహితులై తమ తమ లోకాలకు వెళ్లిరి।

धर्मोत्पत्तिं य इमां श्रावयीत तदा श्राद्धे तर्पयेत पितॄंश्च । त्रयोदश्यां पायसेन स्वशक्त्या स स्वर्गगामी तु सुरानुपेयात् ॥ ३२.३३ ॥
