Agni
Gāyatrī
गृत्समदस्य गायत्रीस्तोत्रेऽस्मिन् समीपस्थं सखिभूतं च देवं अग्निं समिधा स्तुत्या च यज्ञस्य च ऋतक्रमेणोपसर्पन्ति। स ऋषेर्वाचः शृणोतु, हव्यानि प्रतिगृह्णातु, दिव्यं “वर्षम्” (बलावतरणम्), विजयीं वाजशक्तिं, बहुलं पोषणं च ददातु इति प्रार्थ्यते। अन्ते सर्वज्ञं चेतनं अग्निं आगच्छतु, विधिवत् ऋतक्रमेण कर्म साधयतु, बर्हिषि चोपविशत्विति आमन्त्रयति।

इमां मे अग्ने समिधमिमामुपसदं वनेः । इमा उ षु श्रुधी गिरः ॥
अग्ने, इमां मे समिधम्—अन्तराग्नेः प्रज्वालनम्—इमाम् उपसदं च वने। इमा उ षु गिरः श्रुधि सम्यक्।

अया ते अग्ने विधेमोर्जो नपादश्वमिष्टे । एना सूक्तेन सुजात ॥
अयाऽऽ ते अग्ने विधेमोर्जो नपादश्वमिष्टे । एना सूक्तेन सुजात अस्मासु प्रादुर्भव ॥

तं त्वा गीर्भिर्गिर्वणसं द्रविणस्युं द्रविणोदः । सपर्येम सपर्यवः ॥

स बोधि सूरिर्मघवा वसुपते वसुदावन् । युयोध्यस्मद्द्वेषांसि ॥

स नो वृष्टिं दिवस्परि स नो वाजमनर्वाणम् । स नः सहस्रिणीरिषः ॥

ईळानायावस्यवे यविष्ठ दूत नो गिरा । यजिष्ठ होतरा गहि ॥
हे यविष्ठ अग्ने, ईळनीयायावस्यवे नः गिरा दूतः आगच्छ; हे यजिष्ठ होतः, इह आगहि।

अन्तर्ह्यग्न ईयसे विद्वाञ्जन्मोभया कवे । दूतो जन्येव मित्र्यः ॥
अन्तर्हि अग्ने ईयसे, विद्वान् उभया जन्मनी कवे; दूतः जन्य इव मित्र्यः।

स विद्वाँ आ च पिप्रयो यक्षि चिकित्व आनुषक् । आ चास्मिन्त्सत्सि बर्हिषि ॥
स विद्वान् आ च पिप्रयः; यक्षि चिकित्वान् आनुषक्। आ च अस्मिन् सत्सि बर्हिषि॥
