Soma Pavamāna
Este breve hino a Pavamāna louva Soma quando ele irrompe através das águas e dos filtros, purificando-se e tornando-se apto para o rito. Pede-se ao Soma purificado que alegre e fortaleça os seres humanos, que prevaleça em favor dos povos e que afaste a fala hostil e as trevas por sua essência prensada, luminosa e doce.

Mantra 1
प्र सोमासो अधन्विषुः पवमानास इन्दवः । श्रीणाना अप्सु मृञ्जत ॥
Para a frente correram as gotas de Soma, os Indu purificadores; enchendo-se, purificam-se nas águas.
Mantra 2
अभि गावो अधन्विषुरापो न प्रवता यतीः । पुनाना इन्द्रमाशत ॥
Para ele irromperam as Vacas, os Raios, como águas que descem a encosta; purificando-se, alcançam Indra.
Mantra 4
त्वं सोम नृमादनः पवस्व चर्षणीसहे । सस्निर्यो अनुमाद्यः ॥
Tu, ó Soma, és o alegrador do ser humano: purifica-te, vencedor para os povos. Tu és o vencedor que segue após o êxtase, conduzindo a alma a uma alegria maior.

इन्दो यदद्रिभिः सुतः पवित्रं परिधावसि । अरमिन्द्रस्य धाम्ने ॥
Ó Indu, quando és prensado pelas pedras, corres em torno do filtro; tornas-te apto e pronto para a morada de Indra.

शुचिः पावक उच्यते सोमः सुतस्य मध्वः । देवावीरघशंसहा ॥
Puro, de clareza ardente, é chamado Soma, da doçura espremida; herói para os deuses, matador do falar malévolo, que fere as trevas.
