Agni
अयं सूक्तोऽग्निं महान्तं प्रसन्नं च देवेषु गवेषमाणायै जनतायै आह्वयति—यः समिधि समागत्य बर्हिषि निषीदति, यज्ञे सम्यग्-संयोगं स्थापयितुम्। स कर्मणः प्रभावी वक्ता स्तूयते—येन मानुषा हविर्देवेषु सत्यमेव प्राप्नोति—तथा च स रक्षिता, यो यजमानं सर्वतः परितोऽपराजेयेन कवचेन परिरक्षति, हिंसाभ्यः पालयन्।

अग्ने मृळ महाँ असि य ईमा देवयुं जनम् । इयेथ बर्हिरासदम् ॥
