Mantras

Mantra 1

Mantra 2

Mantra 3

Mantra 4

Mantra 5

Frequently Asked Questions

It is a short hymn where Vasiṣṭha calls Indra to come to the sacrifice, drink the well-pressed Soma, and then grant strength, wealth, and well-being to the worshippers.

Soma is the offered substance that ‘invites’ Indra; the hymn follows the Vedic idea that Indra, pleased by Soma and praise, responds by giving protection and abundance.

Svasti means well-being, safety, and right-going good fortune. The hymn ends by asking that Indra’s protective powers keep the community in lasting welfare.
