Soma (Pavamāna)
ಈ ಚಿಕ್ಕ ಪವಮಾನ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರವು ಶುದ್ಧೀಕರಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು ಪವಿತ್ರ ಆಸನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವ ಸೋಮವನ್ನು ಸ್ತುತಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ವೀರಶಕ್ತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸೌಂದರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿದ ಅವನು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾದ, “ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ನೆರವೇರಿದ” ಯಜ್ಞಕರ್ಮಕ್ಕೆ ಆಧಾರನಾಗುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಸೋಮನು ರಾಜಸಮಾನನಾಗಿ, ಸ್ವರ್ಗಜನ್ಯನಾಗಿ ಸಂಬೋಧಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು, ಧನ ಮತ್ತು ಬಲವನ್ನು ತರುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರೇರಿತನಾದಾಗ ಮಹತ್ತರ “ಇಂದ್ರ-ಶಕ್ತಿ”ಯಾಗಿ ವೃದ್ಧಿಸಿ, ಇಷ್ಟಸಹಾಯವನ್ನು ದಯಪಾಲಿಸಿ ವ್ಯಾಪಕ ಮಹಿಮೆಯ ಬಲವನ್ನು ನೀಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.

तं त्वा नृम्णानि बिभ्रतं सधस्थेषु महो दिवः । चारुं सुकृत्ययेमहे ॥
ಓ ಸೋಮಾ! ಮಹಾ ದಿವ (ದಿವ್ಯ ಆಕಾಶ)ದ ಸಧಸ್ಥ (ಸಾಮೂಹಿಕ ಆಸನ)ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನೃಮ್ಣ (ವೀರಶಕ್ತಿ)ಗಳನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿರುವ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನಾವು ಅನ್ವೇಷಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ—ಸುಕೃತ್ಯ (ಸತ್ಕರ್ಮ) ಮತ್ತು ಸಿದ್ಧ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಸುಂದರನಾದ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನಾವು ಆರಾಧಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ.

संवृक्तधृष्णुमुक्थ्यं महामहिव्रतं मदम् । शतं पुरो रुरुक्षणिम् ॥
ಸಂವೃಕ್ತ (ಶುದ್ಧೀಕೃತ) ಮತ್ತು ಧೃಷ್ಣು (ಧೈರ್ಯಶಾಲಿ) ನೀನು ಉಕ್ಥ್ಯ (ಸ್ತುತಿಗೆ ಯೋಗ್ಯ); ಮಹಾ ಮಹಿವ್ರತ (ವಿಶಾಲ-ಮಹಾ ನಿಯಮ)ದ ಮದ (ಆನಂದೋನ್ಮಾದ) ನೀನು—ಆಕ್ರಮಣದ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಸತ್ತೆಯ ನೂರು ಪುರಃ (ಮುಂಭಾಗ/ಮುಂಚೂಣಿ)ಗಳನ್ನು ಕಾಯುವವನು.

अतस्त्वा रयिमभि राजानं सुक्रतो दिवः । सुपर्णो अव्यथिर्भरत् ॥
ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ, ಹೇ ಸುಕ್ರತು ರಾಜನೇ, ದಿವ್ಯ ರಯಿ (ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿ)ಯನ್ನು ನಿನಗೆ—ಸುಪರ್ಣನು, ಅವ್ಯಥಿತ (ಅಶಾಂತಿರಹಿತ), ಸುಂದರ ಪಂಖಗಳ ಪಕ್ಷಿ—ಸ್ವರ್ಗದಿಂದ ಹೊತ್ತು ತರುತ್ತಾನೆ.

विश्वस्मा इत्स्वर्दृशे साधारणं रजस्तुरम् । गोपामृतस्य विर्भरत् ॥
ಬೆಳಕನ್ನು ನೋಡುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ಋಷಿಗೆ ಅವನು ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ನಿಧಿಯನ್ನು ತರುತ್ತಾನೆ—ರಜಸ್ (ಮಧ್ಯಲೋಕಗಳು)ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತುರ (ವೇಗವಾಗಿ) ಸಂಚರಿಸಿ—ಋತ (ಸತ್ಯಕ್ರಮ)ದ ಗೋಪಾ (ರಕ್ಷಕ)ನನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತು ತರುತ್ತಾನೆ.

अधा हिन्वान इन्द्रियं ज्यायो महित्वमानशे । अभिष्टिकृद्विचर्षणिः ॥
ನಂತರ, ಪ್ರೇರಿತನಾಗಿ ಮುಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದವನು ಮಹತ್ತರ ಇಂದ್ರಿಯ (ಇಂದ್ರ-ಶಕ್ತಿ)ಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಾನೆ ಮತ್ತು ವಿಶಾಲ ಮಹಿಮೆಯನ್ನು ತಲುಪುತ್ತಾನೆ—ಅಭಿಷ್ಟಿ-ಕೃತ್ (ಇಚ್ಛಿತ ಸಹಾಯವನ್ನು ಜಯಿಸುವವನು), ವಿಚರ್ಷಣಿ (ವ್ಯಾಪಕ ಶಕ್ತಿ)ಯುಳ್ಳವನು.
