يتأمّل هذا النشيد القصير لأغني ميلادَ النار الخفيّ في الأمّ—مستورًا في أغطية ثمّ منكشفًا في هيئة متميّزة. وهو يمدح قدرة أغني المضيئة المُحيية التي تُنمّي الجماعات والرخاء، ويستحضر لعبه الحركيّ بوصفه شعاعًا/لهيبًا يسري مع الريح والرماد، مُرهِفًا قواه للعمل.

Mantra 1
अभ्यवस्थाः प्र जायन्ते प्र वव्रेर्वव्रिश्चिकेत । उपस्थे मातुर्वि चष्टे ॥
تنبثقُ الأحوالُ المُحِيطةُ إلى الظهور؛ ومن الغطاءِ يصحو المستورُ إلى الوعي؛ وفي حِضنِ الأمِّ يُرى في هيئته المميَّزة.

जुहुरे वि चितयन्तोऽनिमिषं नृम्णं पान्ति । आ दृळ्हां पुरं विविशुः ॥
يُقَرِّبون القُرْبانَ ويُميِّزون؛ ويحرسون القوّةَ البطوليةَ التي لا تَغْمِض؛ وقد دخلوا الحِصنَ الراسخ.

आ श्वैत्रेयस्य जन्तवो द्युमद्वर्धन्त कृष्टयः । निष्कग्रीवो बृहदुक्थ एना मध्वा न वाजयुः ॥
نحوَ شْفَيْتْرَيَا تزدادُ الشعوبُ وأجناسُ الزُّرّاعِ قوّةً مضيئة؛ ذو الطَّوقِ الذهبيّ، ذو القولِ الفسيح—بهذا يمضي كالعسل، طالبًا للوفرة.

प्रियं दुग्धं न काम्यमजामि जाम्योः सचा । घर्मो न वाजजठरोऽदब्धः शश्वतो दभः ॥
كالحليبِ المحبوبِ المرغوبِ، يُولَدُ في أُلفةِ القوى القَرِيبَةِ القِرابَة؛ وكالغَرْما (Gharma) هو بطنُ الوفرة—غيرُ مُخدوعٍ، غيرُ مُخْفِقٍ في الدائم.

क्रीळन्नो रश्म आ भुवः सं भस्मना वायुना वेविदानः । ता अस्य सन्धृषजो न तिग्माः सुसंशिता वक्ष्यो वक्षणेस्थाः ॥
لاعِبًا، أيّها الشُّعاع، قد أتيتَ—ممتزجًا بالرماد، بالريح، عارفًا تمامَ المعرفة؛ وقواه، كالمهاجمين ذوي الحدِّ القاطع، مصقولةٌ حسنًا، مُتأهِّبةٌ في موضعِ الحَمل.
