Atri (Ātreya) (traditional attribution for much of Mandala 5; exact verse-level attribution may vary by recension)
Agni (esoteric birth of Agni in the Mother; common Vedic theme: Agni born in waters/wood/earth)
Tristubh (probable)
Is mantra mein Agni ko bulaya gaya hai. Yeh batata hai ki Agni maa ke andar chupa tha. Usne dhakke mein tha, phir prakat hua.
Jab koi cheez dhaki hui hoti hai, woh paida hoti hai. Chupi hui cheez ko pata chalta hai. Maa ki god mein woh apna asli roop dikhata hai.
Mantra 2
Log bhagwan ko samajhte hain aur use apnaate hain. Woh us shakti ko sambhaalte hain jo kabhi nahi thakti. Woh ek mazboot kile mein ghus gaye hain.
Mantra 3
Shvaitreya ke liye log aur unki shakti badh rahi hai. Woh log jo kheti karte hain, woh bhi badh rahe hain. Sonay ka haar pehne hue, badi awaaz mein bolne wala, woh madh jaisa meetha hai. Woh poora khushhaal hai.
Mantra 4
Jaise pyara doodh, jaise koi cheez jo sabko pasand aaye, woh apne logon mein paida hota hai. Jaise gharma, woh khana aur khushhali se bhara hai. Usne kisi ko dhokha nahi diya. Woh hamesha kaam karta hai, kabhi nahi rukta.
Mantra 5
Yeh kiran khelte-khelde aayi hai. Hawa aur raakh ke saath mil gayi hai, sab jaan ke. Bhagwan ki taakat jaise tez hathiyar hai, bilkul taiz karke rakhi hai. Woh uthne ke jagah par taiyaar hai.
It describes Agni as a hidden power that awakens from coverings and becomes visible, and it asks that this revealed light strengthen life, work, and prosperity.
The “Mother” can be the kindling source that holds Agni—such as wood, the waters, or the earth—and also a symbolic image for the womb of manifestation where hidden light becomes known.
Because the living fire is experienced as moving with breath/wind and surrounded by ash; the verse uses this to show Agni’s intelligent, dynamic energy as it ignites and becomes powerful in the ritual.
