ఈ చిన్న అగ్ని-సూక్తం తల్లి అంతరంలో అగ్నியின் గుప్త జన్మను ధ్యానిస్తుంది—ఆవరణాల్లో దాగి ఉండి, తరువాత ప్రత్యేక రూపంలో వెల్లడవుతుంది. సముదాయాలను మరియు సంపదను పెంపొందించే అగ్నியின் ప్రకాశమయ, ప్రాణదాయక శక్తిని స్తుతిస్తుంది; అలాగే గాలి, బూడిదతో కలిసి కదిలే కిరణం/జ్వాలగా అతని చలనం-భరిత క్రీడను స్మరింపజేస్తుంది—కార్యానికి తన బలాలను పదును పెట్టుకుంటాడు.

Mantra 1
अभ्यवस्थाः प्र जायन्ते प्र वव्रेर्वव्रिश्चिकेत । उपस्थे मातुर्वि चष्टे ॥
ఆవరించే స్థితులు వెలువడి జన్మిస్తాయి; ఆ కప్పుదల నుంచే దాగినది చైతన్యమవుతుంది; తల్లి ఒడిలో అతడు తన ప్రత్యేకమైన, స్పష్టమైన రూపంలో దర్శనమిస్తాడు.

जुहुरे वि चितयन्तोऽनिमिषं नृम्णं पान्ति । आ दृळ्हां पुरं विविशुः ॥
వారు జుహూతి చేసి, వివేకంతో గుర్తిస్తారు; వీరబలపు అనిమిష శక్తిని వారు కాపాడుతారు; దృఢమైన దుర్గంలో (పురంలో) వారు ప్రవేశించారు.

आ श्वैत्रेयस्य जन्तवो द्युमद्वर्धन्त कृष्टयः । निष्कग्रीवो बृहदुक्थ एना मध्वा न वाजयुः ॥
శ్వైత్రేయుని వైపు ప్రజాసమూహాలు, కృషిజాతులు దీప్తిమంతమైన బలంలో వృద్ధి చెందుతాయి. స్వర్ణ-గ్రీవధారి, విస్తార-ఉక్తిగలవాడు—ఈ మధురసంతో అతడు వాజం (సమృద్ధి) కోరే అన్వేషిగా ముందుకు సాగుతాడు.

प्रियं दुग्धं न काम्यमजामि जाम्योः सचा । घर्मो न वाजजठरोऽदब्धः शश्वतो दभः ॥
ప్రియమైన, దోహించిన పాలవలె కామ్యుడు—సజాతీయ శక్తుల సన్నిహిత్యంలో అతడు జన్మిస్తాడు. ఘర్మంలా అతడు వాజపు ఉదరం—అదబ్ధుడు, శాశ్వతంలో ఎప్పుడూ తప్పని వాడు.

क्रीळन्नो रश्म आ भुवः सं भस्मना वायुना वेविदानः । ता अस्य सन्धृषजो न तिग्माः सुसंशिता वक्ष्यो वक्षणेस्थाः ॥
క్రీడిస్తూ, ఓ రశ్మీ, నీవు వచ్చావు—భస్మంతో, వాయువుతో, సంపూర్ణ జ్ఞానంతో సమ్మిళితుడై. అతని శక్తులు పదునైన దాడిచేయువారిలా, సుశాణితమై, వహన-స్థానంలో స్థిరంగా నిలిచివున్నాయి.
