Soma Pavamāna (Hari)
ಈ ಚಿಕ್ಕ ಪವಮಾನ ಸೋಮ ಸ್ತುತಿ, ಹಳದಿ ವರ್ಣದ ಸೋಮನು ಒತ್ತಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು ಶೋಧಕದ ಮೂಲಕ ಶುದ್ಧಗೊಳ್ಳುವಾಗ ಅವನನ್ನು ಸ್ತುತಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಅವನು ದ್ಯೋಲೋಕದ ಪ್ರಕಾಶಮಯ ವಿಶಾಲತೆಗಳನ್ನು, ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ‘ನೀರಿನಲ್ಲಿ’ ಸೂರ್ಯನನ್ನೂ ಉತ್ಪನ್ನಗೊಳಿಸುವವನೆಂದು ವರ್ಣಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಸೋಮವನ್ನು ಚರಟೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿಮ್ಮಿ ಶೋಧಿಸುವ ಯಜ್ಞಕರ್ಮವನ್ನು, ವಿಶ್ವವ್ಯಾಪಿ ಪ್ರಕಾಶ ಮತ್ತು ಜೀವದಾಯಕ ಪ್ರವಾಹವನ್ನು ಉಂಟುಮಾಡುವ ಕಾಸ್ಮಿಕ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಇದು ಜೋಡಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಅಂತ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ, ಯಜಮಾನರಿಗಾಗಿ ಸೋಮನು ತಾನೇ ಶುದ್ಧನಾಗಿ, ವಿಶಾಲ ಪೋಷಣೆಯನ್ನು—ಗೋಸಂಪತ್ತು, ವೀರರು, ಕುದುರೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಬಲವನ್ನು—ದಯಪಾಲಿಸಲೆಂದು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

जनयन्रोचना दिवो जनयन्नप्सु सूर्यम् । वसानो गा अपो हरिः ॥
ದಿವ್ಯದ ಪ್ರಕಾಶಮಯ ವಿಸ್ತಾರಗಳನ್ನು ಜನ್ಮಗೊಳಿಸುತ್ತಾ, ಜಲಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸೂರ್ಯನನ್ನು ಜನ್ಮಗೊಳಿಸುತ್ತಾ—ಹರಿವರ್ಣದವನು (ಹರಿ) ರಶ್ಮಿರೂಪ ಗೋಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಆಪಃ (ಜಲಗಳು)ಗಳಿಂದ ಆವೃತನಾಗಿ ಚಲಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಜೀವಧಾರೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊದಿದ ಪ್ರಕಾಶವೇ ಅದು.

एष प्रत्नेन मन्मना देवो देवेभ्यस्परि । धारया पवते सुतः ॥
ಈ (ಸೋಮ) ಪ್ರಾಚೀನ ಸಂಕಲ್ಪದಿಂದ—ದೇವನು ದೇವರ ನಡುವೆ ಪರಿವ್ರಾಜಕನಾಗಿ—ಧಾರೆಯಾಗಿ ಹರಿಯುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಒತ್ತಿಹಾಕಿದ ಸೋಮನು ಪೋಷಕ ಪ್ರವಾಹದಲ್ಲಿ, ನಮ್ಮೊಳಗಿನ ದಿವ್ಯ ಶಕ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಪರಿಕ್ರಮಿಸಿ ಸೇವಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.

वावृधानाय तूर्वये पवन्ते वाजसातये । सोमाः सहस्रपाजसः ॥
ಸದಾ ವೃದ್ಧಿಯಾಗುವ ತ್ವರಿತ ಶಕ್ತಿಗಾಗಿ—ವಾಜಸಾತಿ (ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿ-ವಿಜಯ)ಗಾಗಿ—ಸೋಮಧಾರೆಗಳು ತಮಗೇ ಶುದ್ಧಿಗೊಳಿಸುತ್ತವೆ; ಇವು ಸಾವಿರ ಪ್ರಕಾಶಶಕ್ತಿಗಳ ಸೋಮಗಳು.

दुहानः प्रत्नमित्पयः पवित्रे परि षिच्यते । क्रन्दन्देवाँ अजीजनत् ॥
ಪ್ರಾಚೀನ ಮಧುರ ರಸವನ್ನೇ ದೋಹಿಸಿ ಹೊರತರುತ್ತಾ, ಅವನು ಪವಿತ್ರಕ (ಪವಿತ್ರ)ದೊಳಗೆ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ಸುರಿಯಲ್ಪಡುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಘೋಷಿಸಿ/ಕ್ರಂದಿಸಿ, ಅವನು ದೇವರನ್ನು ಜಾಗೃತಗೊಳಿಸಿ ಒಳಗಿಂದ ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.

अभि विश्वानि वार्याभि देवाँ ऋतावृधः । सोमः पुनानो अर्षति ॥
ಎಲ್ಲ ವರಣೀಯ ವರಗಳ ಮೇಲೂ, ಋತದಿಂದ ವೃದ್ಧಿಯಾಗುವ ದೇವರ ಮೇಲೂ—ಸ್ವಯಂ-ಶುದ್ಧನಾಗುವ ಸೋಮನು ಹರಿದು ಮುಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಗುತ್ತಾನೆ.

गोमन्नः सोम वीरवदश्वावद्वाजवत्सुतः । पवस्व बृहतीरिषः ॥
ಹೇ ಸೋಮ, ಸುತಗೊಂಡವನೇ, ನಮ್ಮಿಗಾಗಿ ಗೋಮಾನ್, ವೀರವಾನ್, ಅಶ್ವವಾನ್, ವಾಜವಾನ್ ಆಗಿ ನೀನು ಶುದ್ಧನಾಗು; ಮತ್ತು ಬೃಹತೀ ಇಷಃ—ವಿಶಾಲ ಪೋಷಕ ಪ್ರೇರಣೆಗಳನ್ನು—ಹೊರಹರಿಸು.
