प्राग्नये विश्वशुचे धियंधेऽसुरघ्ने मन्म धीतिं भरध्वम् । भरे हविर्न बर्हिषि प्रीणानो वैश्वानराय यतये मतीनाम् ॥
Transliteration
prā́gnáye viśvá-śúce dhiyáṃdhe ’sura-ghné mánma dhītíṃ bharadhvam | bháre havír ná bárhiṣi prīṇānó vaiśvānaráya yátaye matīnā́m ||
Translation
アグニ（Agni）――万を浄める火、敵対の力を滅する者――に、まず思い（dhī）を捧げよ。霊感の言葉（manman）と、見通す知（dhīti）を携えて捧げよ。供物のごとく聖草座（barhis）に満ち足りて坐す彼は、ヴァイシュヴァーナラ（Vaiśvānara）――われらの思惟を導く者――のために励み、われらの意（matī）を正しく進ませる。
