The text narrates the eight incarnations of Ganesha (Ashtavinayaka), each defeating a specific inner demon: jealousy, pride, delusion, greed, anger, lust, attachment, and ego. Its first Skandha retells the essence of the Ganesha Gita, its fourth sets out the Chaturthi vratas month by month, and its ninth, the Yoga Khanda, teaches the yoga of devotion to Ganesha.
