अधाकृणोः पृथिवीं संदृशे दिवे यो धौतीनामहिहन्नारिणक्पथः । तं त्वा स्तोमेभिरुदभिर्न वाजिनं देवं देवा अजनन्त्सास्युक्थ्यः ॥
Transliteration
ádhākṛṇoḥ pṛthivī́ṃ saṃ-dṛ́śe divé yó dhautī́nām ahi-hán ā́riṇak páthaḥ | táṃ tvā stómebhir udábhir ná vājínaṃ deváṃ devā́ ajanann sá āsy ukthyáḥ ||
Translation
そのとき汝は、大地を天と相対する可視のものとして造った。輝ける者たちのために蛇を屠り、道を開いたのも汝である。汝を――豊穣の駿馬のごとき汝を――讃歌と高く掲げられた水とによって、神々は神として生み出した。彼こそこの讃歌のまことの主題である。
