Soma Pavamāna (with Aditi as supporting cosmic principle)
Este breve hino ao Soma Pavamāna louva a bebida sagrada enquanto é purificada e posta em movimento pela visão inspirada do vidente; ela é descrita como sendo limpa «no regaço de Aditi», a ordem cósmica sem limites. Soma é impelido para a frente, vestido de fulgor solar (Vivasvat), e aclamado como o senhor infalível de Vāc (a fala sagrada), sendo por fim lançado na exaltação inebriante destinada a Indra. O propósito do hino é ao mesmo tempo ritual — santificar a prensagem e a filtragem do Soma — e contemplativo, ligando a purificação à verdade, à fala e à inteireza cósmica.

Mantra 1
तममृक्षन्त वाजिनमुपस्थे अदितेरधि । विप्रासो अण्व्या धिया ॥
A ele, portador da plenitude da força, os videntes o purificaram no regaço de Aditi, com pensamento sutil e discernente.
Mantra 2
तं गावो अभ्यनूषत सहस्रधारमक्षितम् । इन्दुं धर्तारमा दिवः ॥
Para ele as vacas luminosas mugiram em assentimento — para ele, de mil correntes, inesgotável — Indu, o Sustentáculo que vem do céu da consciência.
Mantra 4
तमह्यन्भुरिजोर्धिया संवसानं विवस्वतः । पतिं वाचो अदाभ्यम् ॥
A ele impeliram para a frente com visão abundante — revestido do fulgor de Vivasvat — a ele, o Senhor infalível da Palavra.
Mantra 5
तं सानावधि जामयो हरिं हिन्वन्त्यद्रिभिः । हर्यतं भूरिचक्षसम् ॥
A ele, no cume, as irmãs o impelem com as pedras de prensar — o fulvo Hari, desejável, de visão vasta e multiforme.
Mantra 6
तं त्वा हिन्वन्ति वेधसः पवमान गिरावृधम् । इन्दविन्द्राय मत्सरम् ॥
Os sábios artífices te impelem, ó Pavamāna, engrandecido pelos hinos; ó Indu — para o êxtase inebriante que é para Indra.
