Sukta 3.2
क्रत्वा दक्षस्य तरुषो विधर्मणि देवासो अग्निं जनयन्त चित्तिभिः । रुरुचानं भानुना ज्योतिषा महामत्यं न वाजं सनिष्यन्नुप ब्रुवे ॥
kratvā́ dákṣasya tárūṣo vídharmaṇi devā́so agníṁ janayanta cítti-bhiḥ | rurucānám bhānúnā jyótiṣā mahā́m atyáṁ ná vā́jaṁ saniṣyán úpa bruve ||
クラトゥ（kratu、覚意の意志）とダクシャ（dakṣa、有効なる力の巧智）によって、正しき働きの秩序（vi-dharmaṇi）において、神々は光明の認識（citti）をもってアグニ（Agni）を生み出す。光線と光輝によって赫々と照りわたる彼――広大の中を駆ける競走馬のごとく偉大なる者――を、私はvāja（勝勢・豊饒の力）を得んとして呼びかけ讃え申す。
