Sukta 3.2
क्रत्वा दक्षस्य तरुषो विधर्मणि देवासो अग्निं जनयन्त चित्तिभिः । रुरुचानं भानुना ज्योतिषा महामत्यं न वाजं सनिष्यन्नुप ब्रुवे ॥
kratvā́ dákṣasya tárūṣo vídharmaṇi devā́so agníṁ janayanta cítti-bhiḥ | rurucānám bhānúnā jyótiṣā mahā́m atyáṁ ná vā́jaṁ saniṣyán úpa bruve ||
க்ரது (சங்கல்ப-சக்தி) மற்றும் தக்ஷ (திறன்-வல்லமை) ஆகியவற்றால், விதர்மணி—ருதத்தின் ஒழுங்கமைந்த நியமத்தில்—தேவர்கள் சித்தி (ஒளிமிகு உணர்வுகள்) மூலம் அக்னியைப் பிறக்கச் செய்கின்றனர். பானு மற்றும் ஜ்யோதி எனும் ஒளியால் பிரகாசிப்பவனாகிய, மஹாமத்யன்—பெருவெளியின் வேகமிகு ‘வாஜ’ (வெற்றி-வலிமை) போல—அவனை நான் அழைக்கிறேன்; வாஜத்தைப் பெற விரும்பி.
