Sukta 3.2
क्रत्वा दक्षस्य तरुषो विधर्मणि देवासो अग्निं जनयन्त चित्तिभिः । रुरुचानं भानुना ज्योतिषा महामत्यं न वाजं सनिष्यन्नुप ब्रुवे ॥
kratvā́ dákṣasya tárūṣo vídharmaṇi devā́so agníṁ janayanta cítti-bhiḥ | rurucānám bhānúnā jyótiṣā mahā́m atyáṁ ná vā́jaṁ saniṣyán úpa bruve ||
క్రతు (సంకల్ప-శక్తి) మరియు దక్ష (నైపుణ్య-ప్రభావం) ద్వారా, విధర్మణి—ఋతానికి అనుగుణమైన సక్రమ విధానంలో—దేవులు చిత్తి (దీప్తమైన బోధలు) చేత అగ్నిని జనింపజేస్తారు. భాను మరియు జ్యోతిష్ అనే కాంతితో ప్రకాశించువాడైన, మహామత్యుడు—విశాలతలో దూసుకెళ్లే ‘వాజ’ (విజయ-బలం) వలె—అతనిని నేను ఆహ్వానిస్తున్నాను; వాజాన్ని పొందాలని కోరుతూ.
