Soma Pavamāna
Mantra 1
Mantra 2
Mantra 3
Mantra 4
The hymn praises Soma Pavamāna—Soma as it is purified while flowing through the filter, pictured as a swift and victorious stream.
It means that the gladdening Soma “crosses beyond and runs,” emphasizing unstoppable movement that overcomes obstacles during purification.
In Pavamāna poetry, they commonly indicate the paired channels of Soma’s flowing purification (often understood as two shining currents/powers in the rite), from which abundant gains are said to come.
