Indra with the Viśve Devāḥ (All Gods)
ఈ చిన్న సూక్తం ఇంద్రునిని విశ్వదేవులతో కలిసి ఆహ్వానించి, “లోకాలను సక్రమంగా నిలిపి” సత్త్వస్థితిని స్థాపించి, అస్తిత్వపు వివిధ స్థరాల్లోను మానవ జీవితంలోను సమరసతను కలిగించమని ప్రార్థిస్తుంది. ఆదిత్యులు, మరుత్లతో సహచరుడైన ఇంద్రుడు మా దేహధారిత ప్రాణశక్తికి రక్షకుడవ్వాలని కోరుతుంది. చివరికి పవిత్ర కిరణ-గీతమైన అర్కను అంతర్ముఖంగా మళ్లించి, స్వధా—వ్యక్తి సహజ ధర్మం మరియు పోషకశక్తి—పునరుద్ధరించబడాలని ముగుస్తుంది.

इमा नु कं भुवना सीषधामेन्द्रश्च विश्वे च देवाः ॥
ఇప్పుడు ఇంద్రుడూ సమస్త దేవతలూ మా కొరకు ఈ భువనాలను సక్రమంగా అమర్చుగాక—మా సత్త్వంలోని స్థరాలను సమరస్యంలో స్థాపించుగాక.

यज्ञं च नस्तन्वं च प्रजां चादित्यैरिन्द्रः सह चीकॢपाति ॥
ఇంద్రుడు, ఆదిత్యులతో కలిసి, మా కొరకు యజ్ఞం, తను (శరీరం), ప్రజలను సక్రమంగా రూపుదిద్దుతాడు—మా బాహ్య, అంతఃకరణ సాధనాలను ఋత-నియమంలో పరిపూర్ణం చేస్తాడు.

आदित्यैरिन्द्रः सगणो मरुद्भिरस्माकं भूत्वविता तनूनाम् ॥
ఆదిత్యులను సహచరులుగా, మరుతులతో కూడ, ఇంద్రుడు మా రక్షకుడై—మా తనూనాం (దేహ-జీవితం) యొక్క అవితా, పోషకుడై ఉండుగాక.

हत्वाय देवा असुरान्यदायन्देवा देवत्वमभिरक्षमाणाः ॥
అసురులను సంహరించుటకు దేవులు ముందుకు వెళ్లినప్పుడు, దేవులు తమ దేవత్వాన్ని కాపాడుకుంటూ సాగారు—తమ దివ్య సత్త్వంలోని జ్యోతిర్మయ ‘ఋత’ నియమాన్ని అక్షుణ్ణంగా నిలిపారు.

प्रत्यञ्चमर्कमनयञ्छचीभिरादित्स्वधामिषिरां पर्यपश्यन् ॥
తమ ‘శచీ’ శక్తులతో వారు ప్రత్యంచ (తిరిగి వచ్చే) ‘అర్క’ (కిరణ-గీతం/స్తుతి) ప్రవాహాన్ని అంతర్ముఖంగా నడిపారు; అప్పుడు వారు చుట్టూ ‘స్వధా’ను దర్శించారు—వేగవంతమైనది, ప్రేరేపించేది, తన సహజ శక్తి పునఃస్థాపితమైనది.
