Devata: Devāḥ (collective divine powers) opposed to Asurāḥ

हत्वाय देवा असुरान्यदायन्देवा देवत्वमभिरक्षमाणाः ॥
Transliteration
hatvā́ya devā́ asúrān yád ā́yan devā́ devatvám abhirákṣamāṇāḥ ।
Translation
అసురులను సంహరించుటకు దేవులు ముందుకు వెళ్లినప్పుడు, దేవులు తమ దేవత్వాన్ని కాపాడుకుంటూ సాగారు—తమ దివ్య సత్త్వంలోని జ్యోతిర్మయ ‘ఋత’ నియమాన్ని అక్షుణ్ణంగా నిలిపారు.
