विश्वामित्रस्यायं लघुरग्निसूक्तः ऋतस्य विधिना प्रथमं समिद्धं वह्निं स्तौति—यः पावकः, यस्य ज्वाला यज्ञं नयति देवान् च आवहति। अत्र रात्र्यह्नोः परिक्रमया तस्याभिषेकः, उषसां च सख्यं प्रकाश्यते। स च मेधावी धर्मनिष्ठोऽग्निः दिव्यं सहाय्यं क्षेमं च अध्वरे सुगमं प्रवाहं च ददात्विति प्रार्थ्यते।

समिध्यमानः प्रथमानु धर्मा समक्तुभिरज्यते विश्ववारः । शोचिष्केशो घृतनिर्णिक्पावकः सुयज्ञो अग्निर्यजथाय देवान् ॥
