Sukta 2.1
त्वमग्ने त्वष्टा विधते सुवीर्यं तव ग्नावो मित्रमहः सजात्यम् । त्वमाशुहेमा ररिषे स्वश्व्यं त्वं नरां शर्धो असि पुरूवसुः ॥
tvám agne tváṣṭā vidhaté su-vī́ryaṃ táva gnā́vo mitra-mahaḥ sa-jā́tyam | tvám āśu-hemā rariṣe sváśvyaṃ tváṃ narā́ṃ śárdho asi purū́vasuḥ ||
ഹേ അഗ്നേ, നീ തന്നേ ത്വഷ്ടാ—വിധാത (യജമാനൻ) വേണ്ടി സുവീര്യം, വീരബലം, രൂപപ്പെടുത്തുന്നവൻ. മഹാമിത്രനേ, നിന്റെ ഗ്നാവഃ (സഹജ അഗ്നികൾ) ഒരേ ജാതി, ഒരേ ജന്മം ഉള്ളവർ. നീ വേഗത്തിൽ ഹിരണ്യ-സമ്പത്ത് കൊണ്ടുവരുന്നു; നീ സ്വശ്വ്യം—ശ്രേഷ്ഠ അശ്വബലം/നല്ല കുതിരകൾ—നൽകുന്നു. നീ നരന്മാരുടെ ശർധ (സംഘം/സേന); നീ പുരുവസു—വ്യാപക സമൃദ്ധിയുള്ളവൻ.
