Soma Pavamāna (Indu, the purified Soma)
ಈ ಚಿಕ್ಕ ಪವಮಾನ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರವು ಸೋಮನು ಪೀಡಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು, ಶುದ್ಧೀಕರಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು, ಸ್ಥಿರವಾದ ಧಾರೆಯಾಗಿ ಹರಿಯುವಾಗ ಅವನನ್ನು ಸ್ತುತಿಸುತ್ತದೆ; ಅವನು ಸ್ವಭಾವಸಿದ್ಧ ಬಲದಿಂದ ಪ್ರತಿರೋಧಗಳನ್ನು ಭೇದಿಸಿ ಮುನ್ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊರಗಿನ ಶೋಧನ-ವಿಧಿಯನ್ನು ಒಳಗಿನ ಪ್ರೇರಣೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಜೋಡಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ: ಸೋಮನು ‘ಮಾರ್ಜ್ಯ’—ಶುದ್ಧಿಗಾರನಾಗಿ—ಮತ್ತು ಇಂದ್ರನ ವೀರೋನ್ಮಾದವನ್ನು ಜಾಗೃತಿಗೊಳಿಸುವವನಾಗಿ ಪರಿಣಮಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರಗಳೇ ಹಾಲುಕೊಡುವ ಹಸುವಿನ ಗುನುಗುಟ್ಟಿನಂತೆ ಅವನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಧಾರೆಯಾಗಿ ಹರಿದು ಬರುತ್ತವೆ.

प्र सुवानो धारया तनेन्दुर्हिन्वानो अर्षति । रुजद्दृळ्हा व्योजसा ॥
ಪೀಡಿಸಿ ಹೊರತಂದ ಇಂದು (ಸೋಮ) ಅಖಂಡ ಧಾರೆಯಾಗಿ ಹರಿಯುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಪ್ರೇರಿತನಾಗಿ ಮುಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಗುತ್ತಾನೆ—ತನ್ನ ಬಲದಿಂದ ಕಠಿಣ ಪ್ರತಿರೋಧಗಳನ್ನು ಒಡೆದುಹಾಕುತ್ತಾನೆ.

सुत इन्द्राय वायवे वरुणाय मरुद्भ्यः । सोमो अर्षति विष्णवे ॥
ಸುತವಾದ ಸೋಮನು ಇಂದ್ರನಿಗೆ, ವಾಯುವಿಗೆ, ವರುಣನಿಗೆ, ಮರುದ್ಗಣರಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ವಿಷ್ಣುವಿಗೆ ಹರಿಯುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಆತ್ಮದ ವೈಶಾಲ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟುವ ದೇವಶಕ್ತಿಗಳಿಗೆ ತನ್ನ ಶುದ್ಧ ಆನಂದ-ರಸವನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.

वृषाणं वृषभिर्यतं सुन्वन्ति सोममद्रिभिः । दुहन्ति शक्मना पयः ॥
ಬಲಿಷ್ಠನನ್ನು ಬಲಿಷ್ಠರು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಅದ್ರಿ (ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳು)ಗಳಿಂದ ಅವರು ಸೋಮವನ್ನು ಪೀಡಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಕೌಶಲದಿಂದ ಅವರು ಪೋಷಕ ಪಯಃ—ಅಂತರಂಗದ ಸಿಹಿತನ ಮತ್ತು ಶಕ್ತಿ—ಹಾಲಿನಂತೆ ದೋಹಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.

भुवत्त्रितस्य मर्ज्यो भुवदिन्द्राय मत्सरः । सं रूपैरज्यते हरिः ॥
ಅವನು ತ್ರಿತನ ಮರ್ಜ್ಯ (ಶೋಧಕ-ಪವಿತ್ರಕ)ನಾಗುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಇಂದ್ರನಿಗೆ ಮತ್ಸರ (ಉತ್ಸಾಹೋನ್ಮಾದ)ನಾಗುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಹರಿ (ತಾಮ್ರವರ್ಣ)ನು ರೂಪಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಂಯೋಜಿತವಾಗಿ ಅಭಿಷಿಕ್ತನಾಗುತ್ತಾನೆ—ದೇವಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಒಳಗೇ ಆಕಾರ ಧರಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.

अभीमृतस्य विष्टपं दुहते पृश्निमातरः । चारु प्रियतमं हविः ॥
ಋತದ ವಿಶಾಲ ಆಸನದ ಕಡೆಗೆ—ಚಿತ್ತರಿತ (ಪೃಶ್ನಿ)ಯ ಮಾತೃಗಳು—ಅವನಿಗಾಗಿ ಮನೋಹರ, ಅತಿಪ್ರಿಯ ಹವಿಸ್ಸನ್ನು ದೋಹುತ್ತವೆ.

समेनमह्रुता इमा गिरो अर्षन्ति सस्रुतः । धेनूर्वाश्रो अवीवशत् ॥
ಅವನಿಗೆ—ಅನಾಹುತನಾದರೂ ಆಕರ್ಷಕನಿಗೆ—ಈ ಗೀರುಗಳು ಸಮಗತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ, ನಿರಂತರ ಧಾರೆಯಂತೆ ಹರಿಯುತ್ತವೆ; ಪ್ರೇರಣೆಯ ಧೇನು (ವಾಶ್ರ) ಮೂಗುತ್ತದೆ—ಸೋಮಪ್ರವಾಹದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಒಳಶ್ರವಣವನ್ನು ಎಚ್ಚರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
