tápoḥ pavitrám vítataṃ divás padé śócanto asya tántavo vy àsthirān | ávanty asya pavītā́ram āśávo divás pṛṣṭhám ádhi tiṣṭhanti cétasā ||
Translation
タパス（tapas、苦行の熱）の浄め手たるパヴィトラ（pavitra）は、天の座に張り渡され、その輝く糸は分かち定められて堅く立つ。迅き力はこの濾し器を守り、チェータス（cetas、意識）によって天の背に立つ——高き位を支え、流れを澄明ならしめる。
