arū́rucad uṣásaḥ pṛ́śnir agriyá ukṣā́ bibharti bhúvanāni vāja-yúḥ | māyāvíno mamire asya māyáyā nṛ-cákṣasaḥ pitáro gárbham ā́ dadhúḥ ||
Translation
斑（まだら）の者はウシャス（暁）において輝き出で、先頭に、最初に前へ立つ。vāja（勝勢・活力）を欲する牡牛は諸世界を支える。そのmāyā（造化の力）によって、洞見ある主たちは彼を量り定め、人の眼をもつ祖霊（ピトリ）は胚胎をその内に据える——生まれ来る歓喜をわれらの内に置き定めて。
