Sukta 7.54
Vasiṣṭha
Vāstoṣpati (guardian/presiding power of the dwelling)
Vāstoṣpati is the presiding power of the dwelling—the guardian who makes a home safe, harmonious, and fit for healthy living.
It asks peace and protection for everyone in the household: people (two-footed) and animals such as cattle and horses (four-footed), reflecting a complete domestic economy.
It is suitable for entering or blessing a new home, for restoring calm after disturbances, and for prayers seeking health, protection, and prosperity in household life.
