Sukta 54

Mantra 1

वास्तोष्पते प्रति जानीह्यस्मान्त्स्वावेशो अनमीवो भवा नः । यत्त्वेमहे प्रति तन्नो जुषस्व शं नो भव द्विपदे शं चतुष्पदे ॥

O Lord of the dwelling, take cognizance of us; be for us a good entering and free from affliction. What we ask of you, accept it in return; be peace for our two-footed and peace for our four-footed in the house of being.

Mantra 2

वास्तोष्पते प्रतरणो न एधि गयस्फानो गोभिरश्वेभिरिन्दो । अजरासस्ते सख्ये स्याम पितेव पुत्रान्प्रति नो जुषस्व ॥

O Lord of the dwelling, be our farther-leading deliverer; be life-increasing for us with the rays of Light and the powers of movement, O Soma-like joy. May we be unaging in your friendship; as a father his sons, accept us turned toward you.

Mantra 3

वास्तोष्पते शग्मया संसदा ते सक्षीमहि रण्वया गातुमत्या । पाहि क्षेम उत योगे वरं नो यूयं पात स्वस्तिभिः सदा नः ॥

O Lord of the dwelling, with your powerful seat and your joyful, path-making guidance may we be able to abide with you. Protect our peace and also our right yoking; guard us always with the forces of well-being.
