आ वो मक्षू तनाय कं रुद्रा अवो वृणीमहे । गन्ता नूनं नोऽवसा यथा पुरेत्था कण्वाय बिभ्युषे ॥
Transliteration
ā́ vo makṣū́ tánāya káṃ rudrā́ ávo vṛṇīmahe | gántā nū́naṃ no'vásā yáthā purétthā kaṇvā́ya bibhyúṣe ||
Translation
โอ้เหล่ารุทระ เราทั้งหลายเลือกสรรความคุ้มครองของท่านโดยฉับไว เพื่อความงอกงามแห่งชีวิตและวงศ์วานของเรา บัดนี้จงมาด้วยการพิทักษ์ ดังที่ครั้งก่อนท่านเคยมาในทำนองเดียวกันแก่กัณวะ (Kaṇva) ผู้หวาดหวั่น
