आ वो मक्षू तनाय कं रुद्रा अवो वृणीमहे । गन्ता नूनं नोऽवसा यथा पुरेत्था कण्वाय बिभ्युषे ॥
Transliteration
ā́ vo makṣū́ tánāya káṃ rudrā́ ávo vṛṇīmahe | gántā nū́naṃ no'vásā yáthā purétthā kaṇvā́ya bibhyúṣe ||
Translation
ఓ రుద్రగణములారా! మా సంతతి-వృద్ధికై, జీవన-విస్తారమునకై మీ సహాయాన్నే మేము శీఘ్రముగా ఎన్నుకొనుచున్నాము. ఇప్పుడే మా యొద్దకు రక్షతో రండి; పూర్వము భయపడిన కణ్వునకు మీరు అదే విధముగా వచ్చి కాపాడినట్లే.
