Sukta 7.14
Vasiṣṭha (traditional for Maṇḍala 7)
Agni (Jātavedas)
Gāyatrī (probable; 3 pādas feel, but verse is in RV style—meter tagging here remains probabilistic)
Ten krótki hymn Wasiṣṭhy to zwięzła inwokacja Agniego na ofiarę: poeci rozniecają Dżatawedasa samidh (paliwem), uwielbieniem i ofiarami, prosząc go, by przyjął wezwanie waṣaṭ i sprowadził bogów.
Z rozpaleniem naszego istnienia służymy Jātavedasowi, boskiemu, przez wezwania przywołujące bogów; naszymi ofiarami dajemy jasno płonącemu. My, pełni czci, chcielibyśmy złożyć nasz dar Agniemu.
Mantra 2
Chcielibyśmy rozpalić cię, o Agni; chcielibyśmy służyć ci właściwą chwałą, o czcigodny. Chcielibyśmy, o Hotarze podróżnej ofiary, wlać dla ciebie klarowne światło; chcielibyśmy ofiarować tobie, o boże, z ofiarą, o ty o pomyślnym płomieniu.
Mantra 3
To be kindled and honored through offerings, to accept the vaṣaṭ-call, and to come with the other gods to the sacrifice, granting protection and well-being.
These are the core ritual elements: samidh feeds the fire, ghṛta strengthens and brightens it, and havis is the oblation Agni carries to the gods.
It means Agni as the one who ‘knows all births/origins’—the fire that understands and conveys offerings rightly, linking human intention to divine reception.
