यस्त इध्मं जभरत्सिष्विदानो मूर्धानं वा ततपते त्वाया । भुवस्तस्य स्वतवाँ: पायुरग्ने विश्वस्मात्सीमघायत उरुष्य ॥
yás ta idhmáṃ jábharat siṣvidānó mūrdhā́naṃ vā tatápate tvāyā́ | bhúvas tásya svátavāṃ pāyúr agne víśvasmāt sīm aghāyátá uruṣya ||
ആർ നിനക്കായി ഇന്ധനം കൊണ്ടുവരുന്നുവോ—ആകാംക്ഷയോടെ ജ്വലിപ്പിക്കാൻ—അല്ലെങ്കിൽ നിനക്കായി തന്റെ ശിരസ്സുതന്നെ തപിപ്പിക്കുന്നുവോ (തപസ്സിന്റെ ഉരിയിൽ), അവനു, ഹേ അഗ്നേ, നീ സ്വതവാൻ—സ്വബലത്തിൽ സമർത്ഥൻ—രക്ഷകനാകുന്നു. എല്ലാ അഘായതന്മാരിൽ നിന്നും (ദുർഭാവനക്കാരിൽ നിന്നും), എല്ലാ വൈരത്തിൽ നിന്നും, അവനെ വിശാലമായി സംരക്ഷിച്ചു കാക്കുക.
