Sukta 21
यथा॒ वृका॑दजा॒वयो॒ धाव॑न्ति ब॒हु बिभ्य॑तीः । ए॒वा त्वं दु॑न्दुभे॒ऽमित्रा॑न॒भि क्र॑न्द॒ प्र त्रा॑स॒याथो॑ चि॒त्तानि॑ मोहय
yáthā vŕkād ajāváyo dhā́vanti bahú bíbhyatīḥ | evā́ tvaṃ dundubhe ’mitrā́n abhí kranda prá trāsayā́tho cittā́ni mohaya
As goats and sheep run far in terror from the wolf, so thou, O Drum—roar against the enemies; drive them forth in fear, and moreover bewilder their minds.
狼を恐れて山羊と羊が遠くへ走り去るように、かくて汝、太鼓よ、敵どもに向かって轟け。恐怖をもって追い立て、さらにその心を惑わせよ。
