บทสวดสํญฺชฺญานะอันสั้นนี้วอนขอแก่อัศวินทั้งสองให้ปลูกฝังความพร้อมเพรียงและความเข้าใจร่วมกันภายในหมู่ของตน และแม้กับผู้ที่อยู่นอกวง เพื่อให้การอยู่ร่วมกันของหมู่ชนดำเนินไปโดยไม่แตกร้าว อีกทั้งขอให้ระงับความอื้ออึงของมหาชน ลางร้าย และนิมิตอันก่อความปั่นป่วน เมื่อผู้คนจำนวนมากชุมนุมกัน—โดยเฉพาะในยามตึงเครียดทางบ้านเมืองหรือยามศึก—เพื่อให้คำปรึกษาร่วมกันเป็นหนึ่งเดียวเหนือสิ่งอื่นใด
