हे संक्षिप्त संज्ञाना-सूक्त अश्विनांना विनवते की आपल्या स्वकीय वर्तुळातच नव्हे तर बाहेरच्यांशीही समान समज (सामूहिक बोध) रोवावा, जेणेकरून सामूहिक जीवनात फूट पडू नये. तसेच अनेक जण एकत्र येतात तेव्हा—विशेषतः तणावपूर्ण नागरी किंवा युद्धकालीन प्रसंगी—जनउद्रेक, अपशकुनसूचक चिन्हे आणि अस्थिर करणारे दुष्परिणाम/अपलक्षणे आवरली जावोत, आणि एकत्रित सल्ला व एकमत प्रबळ राहो, अशीही प्रार्थना करते.

सांमनस्यम्। सं॒ज्ञानं॑ नः॒ स्वेभिः॑ सं॒ज्ञान॒मर॑णेभिः । सं॒ज्ञान॑मश्विना यु॒वमि॒हास्मासु॒ नि य॑च्छतम्
मनांची एकता—आमच्या स्वकीयांबरोबर आम्हाला समान समज (सं-ज्ञान) द्या; अपरिचितांबरोबरही समान समज द्या. हे अश्विनौ, इथे आमच्यामध्ये हे सं-ज्ञान दृढपणे स्थापन करा.

सं जा॑नामहै॒ मन॑सा॒ सं चि॑कि॒त्वा मा यु॑ष्महि॒ मन॑सा॒ दैव्ये॑न । मा घोषा॒ उत् स्थु॑र्बहु॒ले वि॒निर्ह॑ते॒ मेषुः॑ पप्त॒दिन्द्र॒स्याह॒न्याग॑ते
या; मनाने आपण एकाच ज्ञानात एकत्र होऊ; विचारपूर्वक एकाच संकल्पात एकरूप होऊ. दैवी (देवप्रदत्त) मनाने आपण विभक्त होऊ नये. अनेकांमध्ये जेव्हा विघटन/पराभवाचा आघात दाबला जातो, तेव्हा कोणताही गोंगाट वर उठू नये; आणि इंद्राचा दिवस आला असता मेंढ्याचा (मेषाचा) अशुभ संकेत उफाळून निघू नये.
