บทสวดรักษานี้เป็นการเสริมฤทธิ์ยาอย่างเป็นลำดับ โดยกล่าวกับตัวยาเสมือน “โคผู้” ที่ทวีความแข็งแรงขึ้น และเป็นน้ำเลี้ยง (rasa) ที่ไหลริน เพื่อให้มันสงบระงับความเจ็บป่วยที่เรียกว่า vṛṣa-roga ด้วยถ้อยคำแบบระบุตัวตน (“หากท่านเป็น…”) ยาถูกทำให้มีกำลัง จนถึงบทสรุปที่ให้ความเย็นและชำระล้าง เมื่อฤทธิ์ยากลายเป็น “ผู้ประทานน้ำ” (apodaka) ฟื้นคืนความสมดุลและพลังชีวิต
