अयं संक्षिप्तो युद्धीयः सूक्तः दुन्दुभिं प्राणवत् जीवशक्तिरूपेणाभिषिञ्चति—यस्य निनादः मेघगर्जितवत् विश्वं प्रेरयति, दूरात् शत्रुपक्षान् त्रासयति च। इन्द्रेण सहायतया स दुन्दुभिः रक्षोघ्नं शस्त्रं भवति—दुरितं दुष्टनिमित्तं च अपहन्ति, स्वकीयबलं समाह्वयति, रथयोधानां जयम् अवसिञ्चति।

दुन्दुभिः। उप॑ श्वासय पृथि॒वीमु॒त द्यां पु॑रु॒त्रा ते॑ वन्वतां॒ विष्ठि॑तं जग॑त्। स दु॑न्दुभे स॒जूरिन्द्रे॑ण दे॒वैर्दू॒राद् दवी॑यो॒ अप॑ सेध॒ शत्रू॑न्
दुन्दुभिः । उप श्वासय पृथिवीमुत द्यां पुरुत्रा ते वन्वतां विष्ठितं जगत् । स दुन्दुभे सजूरिन्द्रेण देवैर्दूराद् दवीयो अप सेध शत्रून् ॥

आ क्र॑न्दय॒ बल॒मोजो॑ न॒ आ धा॑ अ॒भि ष्ट॑न दुरि॒ता बाध॑मानः । अप॑ सेध दुन्दुभे दु॒च्छुना॑मि॒त इन्द्र॑स्य मु॒ष्टिर॑सि वी॒डय॑स्व
आ क्रन्दय; बलमोजो नः आ धाः; दुरितानि अभि ष्टन, तानि बाधमानः। अप सेध दुन्दुभे दुच्छुनाम्; इन्द्रस्य मुष्टिरसि—वीडयस्व।

प्रामूं ज॑या॒भी॒३मे ज॑यन्तु केतु॒मद् दु॑न्दुभिर्वा॑वदीतु । समश्व॑पर्णाः पतन्तु नो॒ नरो॒ऽस्माक॑मिन्द्र र॒थिनो॑ जयन्तु
प्र अमूं जयाभीमे जयन्तु; केतुमद् दुन्दुभिः वावदीतु। सम् अश्वपर्णाः पतन्तु नो नराः; अस्माकम् इन्द्र रथिनो जयन्तु।
