प्र ण इन्दो महे तन ऊर्मिं न बिभ्रदर्षसि । अभि देवाँ अयास्यः ॥
ହେ ଇନ୍ଦୋ, ଆମ ପାଇଁ ମହା ବିସ୍ତାର ନିମିତ୍ତେ ପ୍ରବାହିତ ହେଅ; ତରଙ୍ଗ ପରି ଊର୍ମି ଧାରଣ କରି ତୁମେ ଅଗ୍ରସର ହେଉଛ। ଦେବମାନଙ୍କ ଦିଗକୁ ଆଗେଇଯାଅ—ତାଙ୍କର ଉତ୍ସୁକ ଆହ୍ୱାନକ ହୋଇ।

मती जुष्टो धिया हितः सोमो हिन्वे परावति । विप्रस्य धारया कविः ॥
ମତିମାନଙ୍କରେ ଜୁଷ୍ଟ ଓ ଧିୟାରେ ହିତ ହୋଇଥିବା ସୋମ ପରାବତି—ଦୂରବ୍ୟାପ୍ତ ବିସ୍ତୃତ କ୍ଷେତ୍ରରେ—ଆଗକୁ ପ୍ରେରିତ ହୁଏ; କବି-ସୋମ ବିପ୍ରର ଧାରାରେ, ବହୁଥିବା ଧାରାଦ୍ୱାରା, ପ୍ରେରିତ ଦର୍ଶନ-ପ୍ରବାହକୁ ବଢ଼ାଏ।

अयं देवेषु जागृविः सुत एति पवित्र आ । सोमो याति विचर्षणिः ॥
ଏହି ସୋମ ଦେବମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଜାଗୃତ; ସୁତ (ପିଷିତ) ହୋଇ ପବିତ୍ର ପାଖକୁ ଆସେ। ସୋମ ବିଚର୍ଷଣି—ବିସ୍ତୃତ ଶାସକ ଶକ୍ତି—ରୂପେ ଆଗକୁ ଯାଇ, ଆମ ସ୍ୱଭାବର ଅନେକ କ୍ରିୟାକୁ ଆଲୋକ ଦିଗକୁ ନିୟମିତ କରେ।

स नः पवस्व वाजयुश्चक्राणश्चारुमध्वरम् । बर्हिष्माँ आ विवासति ॥
ସେ ଆମ ପାଇଁ ପବିତ୍ର ହୋଇ ପ୍ରବାହିତ ହେଉ, ବାଜୟୁ—ବଳର ସମୃଦ୍ଧି—ଆଣି; ସୁନ୍ଦର ଅଧ୍ୱର (ଅନ୍ତର୍ଯଜ୍ଞ) ଗଢ଼ି, ବର୍ହିସ୍ମାନ୍—ଅର୍ପଣାସନ—ସଜାଇ, ଆଲୋକର ଶକ୍ତିମାନଙ୍କୁ ତାହାରେ ବାସ କରିବାକୁ ସ୍ୱାଗତ କରେ।

स नो भगाय वायवे विप्रवीरः सदावृधः । सोमो देवेष्वा यमत् ॥
ହେ ସୋମ! ସଦା ବୃଦ୍ଧିଶୀଳ ଏବଂ ବିପ୍ର-ବୀର୍ୟରେ ସମୃଦ୍ଧ ତୁମେ ଆମ ପାଇଁ ଭଗ ଓ ବାୟୁଙ୍କ ଦିଗକୁ ଆସ; ତୁମେ ଦେବଶକ୍ତିମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ନିଜକୁ ଯୁକ୍ତ କର, ଯେପରି ଭାଗ୍ୟ ଓ ଦେବମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରାଣବାୟୁ ଆମ ଅସ୍ତିତ୍ୱରେ ପ୍ରବାହିତ ହେଉ।

ହେ ସୋମ! ଆଜି ଆମର ସତ୍ୟ ବସୁତ୍ୱ ପାଇଁ ତୁମେ ପବିତ୍ର ହୋଇ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ କର; କ୍ରତୁ-ବିଦ୍—ସଙ୍କଳ୍ପର ଜ୍ଞାତା, ଗାତୁ-ବିତ୍ତମ—ପଥର ସର୍ବଶ୍ରେଷ୍ଠ ଖୋଜିବାଳା ତୁମେ; ଆମ ପାଇଁ ବାଜର ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣତା ଓ ବିଶାଳ, ଦୀପ୍ତିମାନ ଶ୍ରବକୁ ଜୟ କର।
