स इत्तमोऽवयुनं ततन्वत्सूर्येण वयुनवच्चकार । कदा ते मर्ता अमृतस्य धामेयक्षन्तो न मिनन्ति स्वधावः ॥

sa it tamo 'vayunaṃ tatanvat sūryeṇa vayunavat cakāra | kadā te martā amṛtasya dhāma iyakṣanto na minanti svadhāvaḥ ||

അവൻ തന്നേ അവയുനം—ശരിയായ വിവേകം ഇല്ലാത്ത അന്ധകാരം—വ്യാപിപ്പിച്ചു; സൂര്യനാൽ അതിനെ തേജസ്സുള്ള ഋത-ക്രമത്തോടെ നിറച്ചു. ഹേ സ്വധാവാൻ (സ്വശക്തിമാൻ), അമൃതത്തിന്റെ ധാമത്തിൽ യജ്ഞാർപ്പണം ചെയ്യുന്ന നിന്റെ മർത്ത്യർ എപ്പോൾ ഇനി കുറയാതെ ഇരിക്കും?
