इन्द्रा ह यो वरुणा चक्र आपी देवौ मर्तः सख्याय प्रयस्वान् । स हन्ति वृत्रा समिथेषु शत्रूनवोभिर्वा महद्भिः स प्र शृण्वे ॥
índrā ha yó váruṇā cakrá ā́pī deváu mártaḥ sakhyā́ya práyasvān | sá hánti vṛtrā́ sam-ithéṣu śátrūn ávo-bhir vā mahád-bhiḥ sá prá śṛṇve ||
ഹേ ഇന്ദ്രനും വരുണനും, യജ്ഞ-പ്രയാസത്തിൽ സമൃദ്ധനായ ആ മർത്ത്യൻ സഖ്യതയ്ക്കായി നിങ്ങളിരുവരെയും തന്റെ ആപി (നികടസംഗതി) ആക്കുകയാണെങ്കിൽ—അവൻ വൃത്രങ്ങളെ, തടസ്സശക്തികളെ, സംഹരിക്കുന്നു; സമിഥുകളിൽ ശത്രുസേനകളെ തകർക്കുന്നു; നിങ്ങളുടെ സഹായങ്ങളാലോ നിങ്ങളുടെ മഹത്തായ ശക്തിയാലോ അവൻ പ്രസിദ്ധ വിജയിയായി മാറുന്നു.
