Sukta 2.1
त्वामग्ने दम आ विश्पतिं विशस्त्वां राजानं सुविदत्रमृञ्जते । त्वं विश्वानि स्वनीक पत्यसे त्वं सहस्राणि शता दश प्रति ॥
tvām agne dame ā viśpátiṃ víśas tvā́ṃ rājā́naṃ suvidátram ṛñjate | tvaṃ víśvāni svanīka patyase tvaṃ sahásrāṇi śatá daśá práti ||
ഹേ അഗ്നേ, ഗൃഹത്തിൽ ജനങ്ങൾ നിന്നെ വിശ്പതി—കുലാധിപതി—ആയും, സുവിദത്ര—ശുദ്ധ വിവേകം/സദ്ജ്ഞാനം നല്കുന്ന—രാജാവായും സ്ഥാപിക്കുന്നു. ഹേ സ്വനീക (പ്രകാശമയ), നീ എല്ലാ ദീപ്തശക്തികളെയും ക്രമബദ്ധ സൈന്യങ്ങളെയും ഭരിക്കുന്നു; സഹസ്രം, ശതം, ദശം—മുന്നോട്ടു കുതിക്കുന്ന പ്രേരണകളെ നേരിട്ട് നീ അവയെ അധീനമാക്കുന്നു.
