भूरि दक्षेभिर्वचनेभिॠक्वभिः सख्येभिः सख्यानि प्र वोचत । इन्द्रो धुनिं च चुमुरिं च दम्भयञ्छ्रद्धामनस्या शृणुते दभीतये ॥
bhū́ri dákṣebhir vacanébhiḥ ṛ́kvabhiḥ sakhyébhiḥ sakhyā́ni prá vocata | índro dhúnim ca cúmurim ca dámbhayañ chraddhāmanasyā́ śṛṇute dabhītáye ||
അനവധി ദക്ഷതയാൽ, വചനങ്ങളാലും ഋക്ഗീതങ്ങളാലും, സഖ്യതകളാൽ—സഖ്യതയുടെ ബന്ധങ്ങളെ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങള്ക്കായി പ്രസ്താവിക്കുന്നു. ഇന്ദ്രൻ ധുനിയെയും ചുമുരിയെയും ദമിപ്പിച്ചുകൊണ്ട്, ശ്രദ്ധാഭരിതമായ മനസ്സോടെ ശ്രവിക്കുന്നു—ആക്രമകനെ കീഴടക്കുന്നതിനായി.
