ऋतुर्जनित्री तस्या अपस्परि मक्षू जात आविशद्यासु वर्धते । तदाहना अभवत्पिप्युषी पयोंऽशोः पीयूषं प्रथमं तदुक्थ्यम् ॥

Transliteration

ṛtur janitrī tasyā apaḥ pari makṣū jāta āviśad yāsu vardhate | tad āhanā abhavat pipyuṣī payo ’ṃśoḥ pīyūṣaṃ prathamaṃ tad ukthyam ||

Translation

ઋતુ—જનિત્રી શક્તિ; તેની આસપાસ આપઃ (જળો). જન્મતાં જ તે ઝડપથી તેમાં પ્રવેશ્યો, જેમાં તે વધે છે. ત્યારે તે દોહણી ગાય બની, સમૃદ્ધિથી ફૂલી ઊઠી; અંશુ (ડાંઠ/સોમદંડ)નું દૂધ—પ્રથમ પીયૂષ (અમૃત)—આ જ સ્તુતિને યોગ્ય છે.
