AV 2.32 કૃમિ-નાશન (કીડા/પરોપજીવી નાશક) ઉપચારમંત્ર છે. તે ઉદય અને અસ્ત સમયે આદિત્યના કિરણોને દહકતા, શોધક શસ્ત્રરૂપે પ્રેરિત કરીને, ખાસ કરીને પશુઓને પીડાવતા આંતરિક પરોપજીવીઓને નાશ કરવા માટે આહ્વાન કરે છે. સૂર્ય-શુદ્ધિને અથર્વણ પરંપરાની “વાણી જ ઔષધ” કલ્પનასთან જોડીને, મંત્રનું બ્રહ્મબળ આંતરિક, આસપાસનાં, મોટા અને નાના—બધા વર્ગના કૃમિઓને ચકડી કાઢી હાંકી દે છે અને જીવનશક્તિ તથા ઉત્પાદકતા પુનઃસ્થાપિત કરે છે, એવો દાવો કરે છે.

કૃમિનાશન। ઉદયમાન આદિત્ય કૃમિઓને હણે; અસ્તમાન (નિમ્રોચન) પણ પોતાના કિરણોથી હણે—જે કૃમિઓ ગાયની અંદર છે।

वि॒श्वरू॑पं चतुर॒क्षं क्रिमिं॑ सा॒रङ्ग॒मर्जु॑नम्। शृ॒णाम्य॑स्य पृ॒ष्टीरपि॑ वृश्चामि॒ यच्छिरः॑
વિશ્વરૂપ, ચતુરક્ષ, ચિતરાયેલો, ફિકટવર્ણ એવો તે કૃમિ—તેને હું ચૂરચૂર કરી દઉં છું. તેની પાંજરિયાં તોડી નાખું છું; હા, તેનું તે માથું જ કાપી નાખું છું.

અત્રિની જેમ હું તમને, હે કૃમિઓ, હણું છું; કણ્વની જેમ, જમદગ્નિની જેમ. અગસ્ત્યના બ્રહ્મમંત્રબળથી હું કૃમિઓને સંપૂર્ણપણે ચકડી નાખું છું—હે કૃમિઓ, હું જ તમને નીચે દબાવી દઉં છું.

કૃમિઓનો રાજા હણાયો; અને તેમનો ગૃહાધિપતિ પણ હણાયો. કૃમિ પણ હણાયો—તેની માતા હણાઈ, તેનો ભાઈ હણાયો, તેની બહેન હણાઈ.

જેનાથી તું ભેદીને ઘા કરે છે તે તારા શિંગો હું તોડી નાખું છું. તારો વિષધારક ‘કુષુમ્ભ’ (kuṣumbha) હું ચીરી નાખું છું.
