Sukta 8.21
मा ते गोदत्र निरराम राधस इन्द्र मा ते गृहामहि । दृळ्हा चिदर्यः प्र मृशाभ्या भर न ते दामान आदभे ॥
mā́ te godatra nír arāma rā́dhasa índra mā́ te gṛhāmahi | dṛḷhā́ cid aryáḥ prá mṛśābhyā́ bhara ná te dā́māna ādábhē ||
โอ้อินทระ ผู้ประทานโคแห่งแสงสว่าง ขออย่าให้เราถูกขับไล่ออกจากทรัพย์สมบัติของท่าน; ขออย่าให้เราถูกตัดขาดจากท่าน. แม้กำลังฝ่ายศัตรูจะตั้งมั่นแข็งกร้าว ก็ขอจงพาเราข้ามพ้นด้วยความคุ้มครองที่ยื่นไปข้างหน้าของท่าน; ขออย่าให้ผู้ใดแตะต้องบัญญัติ (dāman) ของท่าน อันผูกไว้และค้ำจุนไว้.
