Sukta 8.21
मा ते गोदत्र निरराम राधस इन्द्र मा ते गृहामहि । दृळ्हा चिदर्यः प्र मृशाभ्या भर न ते दामान आदभे ॥
mā́ te godatra nír arāma rā́dhasa índra mā́ te gṛhāmahi | dṛḷhā́ cid aryáḥ prá mṛśābhyā́ bhara ná te dā́māna ādábhē ||
हे इन्द्र, गोदात्र (प्रकाश-गवों के दाता), हमें अपने राधस् (धन-समृद्धि) से निर्वासित न करो; हमें अपने से वंचित न होने दो। यदि शत्रु-बल दृढ़ भी हो, तो अपनी अग्रसर रक्षाओं से हमें पार पहुँचा; तुम्हारे बन्धन-धर्म (दामान) को कोई हाथ न लगाए, न उसका अतिक्रमण करे।
