Sukta 8.21
मा ते गोदत्र निरराम राधस इन्द्र मा ते गृहामहि । दृळ्हा चिदर्यः प्र मृशाभ्या भर न ते दामान आदभे ॥
mā́ te godatra nír arāma rā́dhasa índra mā́ te gṛhāmahi | dṛḷhā́ cid aryáḥ prá mṛśābhyā́ bhara ná te dā́māna ādábhē ||
हे इंद्रा, गोदात्र (प्रकाश-गायींचा दाता), तुझ्या राधस् (धन-समृद्धी) पासून आम्हांला हाकलू नकोस; तुझ्यापासून आम्हांला तोडू नकोस. शत्रुबल दृढ उभे राहिले तरी, तुझ्या पुढे झेपावणाऱ्या रक्षणांनी आम्हांला पार ने; तुझ्या दामान (बांधून धारण करणारे नियम) यांवर कोणीही हात घालू नये, त्यांचा भंग करू नये.
