Sukta 8.21
मा ते गोदत्र निरराम राधस इन्द्र मा ते गृहामहि । दृळ्हा चिदर्यः प्र मृशाभ्या भर न ते दामान आदभे ॥
mā́ te godatra nír arāma rā́dhasa índra mā́ te gṛhāmahi | dṛḷhā́ cid aryáḥ prá mṛśābhyā́ bhara ná te dā́māna ādábhē ||
হে ইন্দ্র, গোদাত্র (আলোক-গাভীর দাতা), তোমার রাধস্ (ঐশ্বর্য-ধন) থেকে আমাদের যেন তাড়িয়ে না দাও; তোমার থেকে আমাদের যেন বিচ্ছিন্ন না করা হয়। শত্রু-শক্তি দৃঢ় হয়ে দাঁড়ালেও, তোমার অগ্রসর রক্ষায় আমাদের পার করে দাও; তোমার বাঁধন-ধর্ম (দামান) কেউ যেন স্পর্শ না করে, লঙ্ঘন না করে।
