Sukta 8.21
मा ते गोदत्र निरराम राधस इन्द्र मा ते गृहामहि । दृळ्हा चिदर्यः प्र मृशाभ्या भर न ते दामान आदभे ॥
mā́ te godatra nír arāma rā́dhasa índra mā́ te gṛhāmahi | dṛḷhā́ cid aryáḥ prá mṛśābhyā́ bhara ná te dā́māna ādábhē ||
ഹേ ഇന്ദ്രാ, ഗോദാത്ര (പ്രകാശ-ഗോങ്ങളെ ദാനം ചെയ്യുന്നവനേ), നിന്റെ രാധസ് (ദാനസമ്പത്ത്) മുതൽ ഞങ്ങളെ പുറത്താക്കരുതേ; നിന്നിൽ നിന്ന് ഞങ്ങളെ വേർപെടുത്തരുതേ. വൈരിശക്തി ദൃഢമായി പതിഞ്ഞിരുന്നാലും, നിന്റെ മുന്നോട്ടെത്തുന്ന രക്ഷകളാൽ ഞങ്ങളെ കടത്തിക്കൊണ്ടുപോകേണമേ; നിന്റെ ദാമാൻ (ബന്ധനരൂപ നിയമങ്ങൾ, ധാരകമായ വിധികൾ) ആരും കൈവയ്ക്കാതിരിക്കട്ടെ.
