อว. 20.2 เป็นลำดับบทเชิญในพิธีโสมแบบศราวตะ ซึ่งมอบอำนาจและเชื้อเชิญเทพเจ้าและหน้าที่อันเป็นทิพย์เฉพาะให้เข้ามายัง “ที่ประจำ” ของปุโรหิต และเสวยโสมที่คั้นแล้วตามฤตุ—กาลและระเบียบอันถูกต้อง ด้วยการระบุสถานที่/ตำแหน่ง (เช่น โปตฤ, อัคนีธระ) และย้ำเรื่องสุษฺฏุติ—การสรรเสริญและการสาธยายที่ถูกต้อง—บทสวดนี้ทำให้การแจกจ่ายตามพิธีที่ถูกต้องกลายเป็นความสำเร็จของยัญพิธี คือความสม่ำเสมอแห่งการคั้น ความพอพระทัยของเทพ และกำลังกับความมั่งคั่งของผู้บูชายัญ

म॒रुतः॑ पो॒त्रात् सु॒ष्टुभः॑ स्व॒र्कादृ॒तुना॒ सोमं॑ पिबन्तु
ขอให้เหล่ามรุต (Maruts) ผู้ควรแก่การสรรเสริญ จากหน้าที่ของโปตฤ (Potṛ) จากสวรรค์อันสว่างไสว ตามลำดับแห่งฤดูและกาล (ṛtu) จงดื่มโสมะ (Soma) เถิด

अ॒ग्निराग्नी॑ध्रात् सु॒ष्टुभः॑ स्व॒र्कादृ॒तुना॒ सोमं॑ पिबतु
ขออัคนี (Agni) ผู้ได้รับสรรเสริญอย่างถูกต้อง จากที่ประทับของอัคนีธระ (Āgnīdhra) จากสวรรค์อันสว่างไสว จงดื่มโสมะ (Soma) ตามกาละและตามระเบียบอันชอบธรรมเถิด

इन्द्रो॑ ब्र॒ह्मा ब्राह्म॑णात् सु॒ष्टुभः॑ स्व॒र्कादृ॒तुना॒ सोमं॑ पिबतु
ขออินทระ (Indra)—ในฐานะพราหมณ์ (Brahman)—ผู้ได้รับสรรเสริญอย่างถูกต้อง จากที่ประทับของพราหมณ์ จากสวรรค์อันสว่างไสว จงดื่มโสมะ (Soma) ตามกาละและตามระเบียบอันชอบธรรมเถิด

दे॒वो द्र॑विणो॒दाः पो॒त्रात् सु॒ष्टुभः॑ स्व॒र्कादृ॒तुना॒ सोमं॑ पिबतु
ขอเทพผู้ประทานทรัพย์ ดรวิณโททา (Draviṇodā) ผู้ได้รับสรรเสริญอย่างถูกต้อง จากที่ประทับของโปตฤ (Potṛ) จากสวรรค์อันสว่างไสว จงดื่มโสมะ (Soma) ตามกาละและตามระเบียบอันชอบธรรมเถิด
It is used in the Śrauta Soma ritual as an invitatory/authorization formula, inviting specific deities to drink the pressed Soma at the correct moment and priestly station.
Because the Soma rite is distributed through defined priestly roles; naming the station ritually “routes” the offering correctly and prevents procedural faults.
Draviṇodā is the wealth-bestowing divine function invoked to convert correct Soma offering into tangible gain—prosperity, resources, and increase for the sacrificer.
