Soma (Pavamāna)
ఈ సంక్షిప్త పావమాన సోమ స్తోత్రం, సోముని స్వయంశుద్ధిని విశ్వవ్యాప్తమైనదిగా మరియు యజ్ఞక్రియలోని శుద్ధికరణగా ఆహ్వానిస్తుంది; అది వర్షంలాంటి పోషణను, బలమైన ఆరోగ్యదాయక ప్రేరణలను ఉపాసకులకు ప్రసాదిస్తుంది. సోముడు యజ్ఞములో స్వచ్ఛంగా, నెయ్యిలాంటి ధారగా ప్రవహించి, శత్రుత్వ శక్తులను తరిమివేసి, సత్యం–ఋతం అనే ప్రాచీన దీప్తులను మళ్లీ ప్రజ్వలింపజేయమని ప్రార్థించబడుతున్నాడు.

पवस्व वृष्टिमा सु नोऽपामूर्मिं दिवस्परि । अयक्ष्मा बृहतीरिषः ॥
పవిత్రమై ప్రవహించు; మా మీద వర్షాన్ని కురిపించు—దివ్యలోకానికి అవతల నుండి వచ్చే అపాం ఊర్మి (జలతరంగం)ను; వ్యాధిరహితమైన, మహత్తర ప్రేరణాబలమయిన ఇషః (ఉత్సాహాలు)ను ప్రసాదించు.

तया पवस्व धारया यया गाव इहागमन् । जन्यास उप नो गृहम् ॥
ఆ ధారతోనే పవిత్రమై ప్రవహించు—ఆ ధార వల్ల ఇక్కడికి గో (కాంతికిరణాలు) వస్తాయి; జన్యాసః (స్వజన శక్తులు) మా గృహం (దేహాశ్రయం) సమీపానికి రానివ్వు.

घृतं पवस्व धारया यज्ञेषु देववीतमः । अस्मभ्यं वृष्टिमा पव ॥
ఘృతస్వరూపమైన కాంతి-సారంగా ధారగా పవిత్రమై ప్రవహించు; యజ్ఞాలలో, దేవులకు అత్యంత ప్రియుడా, ప్రవహించు; మా కొరకు వర్షాన్ని పవిత్రం చేసి కురిపించు—పోషక పరిపూర్ణత అవతరణ.

स न ऊर्जे व्यव्ययं पवित्रं धाव धारया । देवासः शृणवन्हि कम् ॥
అతడు మనకు ఊర్జస్సు వృద్ధి కోసం—అవ్యయుడు—ధారాధారగా ప్రవహిస్తూ పవిత్రం (వడపోత) గుండా పరుగెత్తుతాడు; దేవులు నిజంగా మనలోనుంచి లేచే ఆ పిలుపును వింటారు.

पवमानो असिष्यदद्रक्षांस्यपजङ्घनत् । प्रत्नवद्रोचयन्रुचः ॥
పవమానుడిగా తనను తాను శుద్ధి చేసుకుంటూ అతడు వేగంగా ముందుకు దూసుకెళ్లి, రక్షాంసి—అంధకార శక్తులను—తొలగిస్తాడు; ప్రాచీనునివలె వెలుగులను మళ్లీ ప్రకాశింపజేస్తాడు.
